Donation to Clifton School - UPDATE & THANKS

Back in August this year, the world legends of rugby descended on Upritchard Park to play a selection of club legends from across Ulster, with teams from Bangor, Ards, Dungannon, and Portadown all taking part.

With the help of members, spectators and friends, Bangor Rugby Club used this event as part of our community fundraising programme. We are pleased to announce that £1,650.00 was raised on the day and this has now been donated to our chosen recipient, Clifton School.

Special thanks go to Rachel Armstrong at the Guillemot Kitchen Cafe for generously sponsoring the event, and for hosting representatives from Clifton School as they received their cheque.

UPDATE 27/11/18:
The Club has since received a letter of thanks from Clifton School which is attached below. Tony Heffernan, the event co-ordinator, added "A big thank you to Ashley, David, Danny, & Ricky for all your hard work, it’s very humbling donating to such a worthy cause, and local too. You all should feel very proud for your efforts."
