Bangor travelled to Pollock Park, the home of Lurgan, hoping to put right their only loss of the season so far. It was a cold and wet morning, in conditions that were going to be tricky for all players to contend with.
From the outset Lurgan hit Bangor hard, and ran in a number of tries that were perhaps preventable, should the Bangor defence have been stronger. The young Bangor men were out muscled across the park, allowing Lurgan to build up a head of steam. They proved too difficult to stop, and Bangor were stretched due to Lurgan’s physicality, flare and strength in attack.
Their physical prowess was too much for the young Bangor men, who were simply beaten by the better team on the day.
Onwards now to Wednesday 5th December. Bangor will seek to avenge a disappointing loss, when they play Malone at home, in a friendly training match.
Thank you again to all those supporters who travelled to Lurgan.
