Bangor had a number of players out through injury or illness, so they have become more reliant on the depth of their young squad over recent weeks.
This again was another fairly one sided match, with Bangor displaying some strong running rugby, which their loyal supporters have come accustom to watching. Some of the offloading in the tackle was great to watch. Although it must be said, Ards were not a complete walk over, and at times were keen to put up a fight, which they did. Ards were successful in disrupting the Bangor forwards, and were seen to out muscle them in the rucks a number of times.
The coaching team were keen to ensure all players got some exposure to game time, a just reward for their time and effort during training. It is always unsettling for a team when they have rolling substitutes and players moving positions throughout a match. The team managed this well, and were still able to produce a convincing win.
Bangor will face Lurgan away next week, which will undoubtedly be a much sterner challenge, which the boys will be keen to step up to. Man of The Match this week was James Hughes, for his strong running and work at the break down.
Thank you all supporters who attended the game, and to the club for providing some warm refreshments.
