John battled bravely with a lengthy illness, and remained active in the affairs of the club right up until very recently.

The funeral will take place at 11:00am on Saturday 25th November at S Clarke and Sons funeral directors, 64 Newtownards Road, Bangor. The interment will be at Clandeboye Cemetery followed by refreshments at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel around 12 noon.

As a mark of respect, our original plan for Christmas lunch festivities has been put on hold (revised date to be advised later), but nonetheless our normal 2-course offering will still be provided for all those who have indicated that they will be there.
