The match was played at Bangor Grammar School Grounds with ideal conditions for rugby.

From the kick off Bangor showed their intent. Displaying good defensive and attacking techniques
and forcing Malone back into their 22 for most off the first half. This resulted in tries from Harry
Grant, James Montgomery, Todd McAvoy and Jake Burns with Jonah Topping converting 1 of the
tries. At half time the score was Bangor 22 Malone 0.

The second half continued in the same manner with Bangor again dominant for most of the second
half, scoring a further 3 tries by Jake Burns, Jonah Topping and Cain Croft with Jonah adding 2
conversions. However, a few unforced errors resulted in Malone scoring 3 tries with one conversion.
Final score Bangor 41 Malone 17.

There were several very good individual performances, but more importantly it was an excellent
team performance and a great start to the league campaign.
